Although Drones seem like a recent phenomenon in our culture they in fact have a long rich history. The very first drones were developed by the Austrians in 1849. They mounted bombs to over 200 balloons to launch an attack against Venice. This was very unreliable as there was no control over there flight. Nikola Tesla first demonstrated the remote control of vehicles at the end of the nineteenth century. On a pond in Madison Square Garden in 1898, the inventor and showman remotely controlled a boat with a radio signal. This was the first such application of radio waves in history, meaning that Tesla’s Patent No. 613,809 was the birthplace of modern robotics. Counter Drone SolutionsWith the proliferation of Drones and UAV it should come as no suprise that some are using this technology with criminal intent. Smuggling, corporate espionage, stalking and terrorism are a few of the threats that Drones pose today. Praetorian Ventures is at the forefront of Drone and Counter Drone technology.
Drone Detection
The first stage of drone response is detecting that a Drone is approaching or has breached your perimiter. Praetorian uses state of the art sensors as an early warning system for your facility or residence.
Drone Deterrence
Making your site unattractive to drones is critical to prevent unwanted UAV activity in your airspace. There are several counter measures that can be deployed to deter unwanted drones.
Drone Capture
Should your counter measures fail and the intruder persists, your own counter drone can be used to capture the bogey, thus allowing you to safely recover the drone and return it to the owner. Our proprietary capture system will send a clear message to those entering your airspace.
Drone Disabling
If all other measures fail, your organization can deploy one of our UAV disablers to take out the drone. Our solutions are non-firearm based, therefore not illegal to use.
