Husband, Father of Five, Veteran, Outdoorsman, Security Expert and Marksman, at nearly 40 years old Mathew Jenkins has come to a culmination of his personal and professional life to start Praetorian Ventures. From an early age Mathew was drawn to adventure. Whether it was body surfing in Hawaii, backcountry snowboarding, riding rodeo or backpacking through the Sierras the wild called to him.
At the age of 17 a young Mathew Jenkins left his small country home in the foothills near Yosemite California to enlist in the United States Coast Guard.
was assigned to the US Coast Guard Presidential Honor Guard in Washington DC. From D.C. he transferred to Station San Francisco where his expertise was Port Security, Search and Rescue, and Law Enforcement.
After an honorable discharge Mathew has spent the last two decades designing electronic and physical security systems. Mathew has also worked as a technical consultant and safety coordinator for Discovery Channel, National Geographic and the BBC. Some of his skill set includes Leadership and Sales Guidance,Wilderness First Responder & Survival Education, Security and Risk Assesments.
